ITPS Canada recognised for leadership in aerospace training and sovereign capability
LONDON, Ontario, May 21, 2026 – ITPS Canada is an official partner of Monarchy and Democracy: A History of Leadership, a commemorative publication produced by The History of Parliament and St James’s House.
International Test Pilots School (ITPS Canada Ltd.), a global leader in advanced aerospace training, flight test education and operational capability development, is proud to be featured in the landmark publication Monarchy and Democracy: A History of Leadership. An official History of Parliament project, the book is being produced in partnership with St James’s House and will be launched on 9 June 2026 in the grounds of Westminster Abbey in London, UK.
Written by a team of prominent academics and award-winning authors, including royal experts Robert Jobson, Russell Myers and Katie Nicholl, the fully illustrated hardback explores the evolving roles of Crown and Parliament in the leadership of the UK and the Commonwealth. The publication reflects on the political and social transformation of the past 100 years and highlights organisations whose work speaks to the themes of leadership, innovation, governance and progress.
ITPS Canada’s participation in the project reflects the organisation’s commitment to preparing aerospace professionals to lead in complex and demanding environments. Through its work in advanced aerospace training and flight test education, ITPS contributes to the development of capabilities that support operational readiness, responsible decision-making and the future of aerospace training.
Dave Lohse, CEO of ITPS Canada Ltd., said, “It is an honour for ITPS Canada to be included in a publication that examines leadership through both historical and contemporary perspectives. Our mission is to enhance global security through innovative aerospace solutions, and our vision is to lead the future of aerospace training through operational excellence. We are guided by the values of excellence, innovation, agility, collaboration and safety, and we are proud to bring those principles to everything we do in support of the aerospace community.”
Dr Jennifer Davey, Director at the History of Parliament Trust, says, “The book not only explores the history and evolution of UK and Commonwealth governance and the shift to a constitutional monarchy, but also profiles a selection of organisations invited to join the project based on their relevance to the themes of leadership, innovation, sustainability and governance.”
Stephen van der Merwe, a Group Director at the SJH Group, says, “Through in-depth interviews with the leaders of organisations such as ITPS Canada, and by spotlighting their work, Monarchy and Democracy provides a compelling, first-hand perspective on how today’s organisational leaders are shaping the future in a wide range of areas, including governance, education, charitable work, enterprise and industry.”
For ITPS Canada, participation in this publication underscores the importance of leadership rooted in discipline, innovation and service. As the aerospace sector continues to evolve, ITPS remains focused on advancing training excellence, fostering collaboration across the industry and maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety.
The publication’s launch will also incorporate the London Press Club Summer Garden Party, which will be attended by more than 300 senior figures from the UK’s leading media organisations and will include a celebration of the life of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. “This is a wonderful opportunity to honour Queen Elizabeth II and the historic contribution she made to the nation and the Commonwealth,” says Robert Jobson, deputy chair of the London Press Club. “Hers was a remarkable life, one that continues to inspire generations around the world.”
