Investing in the Future of Flight Test Engineering

Clementi Family Scholarship

The Clementi Family Scholarship

ITPS (International Test Pilots School) is proud to offer the Clementi Family Scholarship, an annual award providing full tuition funding for one student enrolled in the ITPS Master of Science degree program in Flight Test Engineering.

Established by Giorgio Clementi, founder of the International Test Pilots School in Canada, together with his wife Beverley and their sons Carlo, David, and Vincent, the scholarship reflects the family’s longstanding commitment to advancing the flight test profession and developing the next generation of aerospace leaders. Through their vision, dedication, and leadership, the Clementi family has grown ITPS into a world-class centre of excellence for flight test training, education, and research.

Supporting the Future of Flight Test

The flight test profession depends upon individuals with curiosity, discipline, technical excellence, and a willingness to tackle complex challenges. Through the Clementi Family Scholarship, the Clementi family seeks to identify and support aspiring flight test engineers who have demonstrated those qualities and are prepared to take the next step toward becoming leaders in the profession.

By investing in exceptional individuals who might otherwise lack access to advanced flight test education, the scholarship helps strengthen the future of the international flight test community and ensures that the profession continues to benefit from talented, dedicated, and innovative engineers.

Purpose of the Scholarship

The Clementi Family Scholarship is intended to create opportunities for talented individuals who have demonstrated a genuine commitment to pursuing a career in Flight Test Engineering, but who would not normally have access to sponsorship through military organizations, government agencies, or major aerospace manufacturers.

The scholarship recognizes that some of the most promising future flight test professionals are those who have pursued their interest through personal initiative, determination, and self-directed effort. It seeks to support individuals who have already demonstrated a passion for flight testing and who possess the potential to make meaningful contributions to the profession.

Award Basis

The Clementi Family Scholarship is awarded based on merit, demonstrated commitment to the flight test profession, and potential for future contribution to the aerospace flight test community, rather than purely on academic achievement. While applicants must satisfy the admission requirements for the Master of Science degree, the selection committee will place significant emphasis on evidence of initiative, perseverance, professional engagement, and a demonstrated desire to pursue Flight Test Engineering as a career.

The scholarship is intended to identify and support individuals who have shown exceptional promise through their actions, achievements, and commitment to the profession, regardless of whether they have had access to traditional military or industry-sponsored development pathways.
