ITPS Students Visit Calspan

April 13, 2026

Alan Uehara, Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor at ITPS Canada, recently led students of the ITPS 2025B EASA Category 1 class on an immersive visit to Calspan’s Flight Research Facility in Niagara Falls, New York.

During the visit, the Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineer students flew the modified Learjet 31A equipped with a Variable Stability System capable of in-flight simulation of many types of advanced flight control systems and degraded stability aircraft, which provides an invaluable opportunity to experience in real‑world settings the theory and flight test techniques learned in the classroom. The hands‑on exposure to such an aircraft is a defining element of their training, sharpening judgment, technical insight, and the operational mindset required in modern aerospace programs.

Experiences like this reflect ITPS’ commitment to preparing the next generation of global aerospace professionals through rigorous, industry‑relevant training that strengthens capability, elevates standards, and supports the evolving demands of global security and aviation advancement.
