Ryan Gomes is the Vice President of Aircraft Maintenance and Modifications at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., where he leads all aspects of aircraft airworthiness, maintenance operations, and in-house modification programs. With over 15 years of aviation industry experience, Ryan has built a reputation for technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and leadership in aircraft maintenance engineering.

Prior to becoming VP at ITPS, Ryan served as Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control, managing Transport Canada certification requirements and enhancing the company’s Quality Assurance and Safety Management Systems. He previously operated Venerable Aerospace Inc. as a Minister’s Delegate of Maintenance, directly certifying aircraft for Transport Canada and providing continued airworthiness support to private operators.

Ryan’s hands-on expertise includes leading maintenance teams, overseeing prototype installations such as the variable stability system for the Aero Vodochody L-39 platform, and collaborating with engineering and flight test teams throughout complex project life cycles.

He is a gold medalist in Aircraft Maintenance at both the Ontario and Canadian Skills Competitions and represented Canada at the World Skills Competition in London, England, placing in the top three globally.

Dedicated to training the next generation, Ryan has also taught as a Professor of Aviation at Mohawk College and served as a Canadian Expert and judge for World Skills Competitions internationally.
