Dr. Panagiotis (Panos) Vitsas is a Flight Test Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., and a Director on the Board of Directors of the Society of Flight Test Engineers. He has over 10 years of experience in aerospace engineering research and academia. Dr. Vitsas holds an Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics from the University of Patras, an MSc in Human Factors and Safety Assessment in Aeronautics from Cranfield University, and a PhD in Aeronautics and Computational Fluid Dynamics from the University of Patras. He is a graduate of the ITPS FTE course (Class 2012A).
Dr. Vitsas has participated in European research projects on fixed-wing and rotary-wing aerodynamics and aeroacoustics. He has been an assistant lecturer at the University of Patras for over 5 years, teaching Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Conceptual Aircraft Design. He is the author of several publications in international journals and conferences and has provided consulting services across a wide range of aerospace fields.
A founding member of the Hellenic Flight Simulation Community, Dr. Vitsas has worked extensively in flight simulation, including programming the F-16C variable stability simulator at ITPS. His research interests include advanced flight test data analysis and dynamic flight test techniques.
