John Turner

John Turner is a graduate of the Empire Test Pilots School and holds a degree in Physics from the University of York. During his service with the Royal Air Force, he flew the Phantom F4 and served as a flying instructor before becoming a Flight Commander at No. 4 Flying Training School.

Upon graduation from ETPS, John was posted to the Royal Aerospace Establishment (RAE) at Farnborough, where he commanded the Experimental Flying Squadron. In this role, he flew an extensive range of aircraft including the Andover, BAC 1-11, Buccaneer, Comet, Jaguar, Hawk, Hunter, and Varsity. His work at RAE included both simulator and airborne trials, focusing on the development and evaluation of advanced systems such as helmet-mounted targeting, weapon aiming technologies, and night vision techniques.

John brings to ITPS a deep well of operational and experimental flight test experience spanning multiple platforms and advanced aviation technologies.
