Henry Language is an instructor in Telemetry and UAS at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. With over 30 years of flight test experience, Henry graduated from the National Test Pilot School’s Flight Test Engineer (FTE) course in 1988. He began his career at Atlas Aircraft Corporation, initially qualifying as an aircraft maintenance engineer and earning a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Henry joined the Flight Test Department at Atlas in 1986, where he became a Flight Test Engineer in 1988.
He has accumulated more than 1,400 hours in 29 aircraft types, including both fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms such as the Impala, Mirage III, Cheetah, Alouette III, Puma, and the Rooivalk attack helicopter. His flight test experience spans performance, stability and control, avionics, weapons, structural testing, and certification.
In 2019, Henry joined ITPS as a full-time FTE instructor. He has since contributed to fixed and rotary-wing courses, three UAS courses, internal ITPS projects like Manned Remotely Piloted Aircraft (MRPA) and Adaptive Handling Qualities Aircraft (AHQA), as well as flight test campaigns for external clients. He is a member of the Society of Flight Test Engineers and holds multiple pilot licenses, including a Multi-engine/IFR commercial fixed-wing license and a Small Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (sRPAS) certificate.
