Giorgio is the Executive Chairman of ITPS (Canada) Ltd., bringing over 34 years of aviation experience, including 20 years in flight testing. He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Aerospace Engineering from Bristol University and an Airline Transport Pilot License. Giorgio is a graduate of the 1990 NTPS Flight Test Engineer Course.
His flight test experience spans both fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft, with work in civil and military sectors. Giorgio has contributed to Part 23, 25, 27, and 29 certification projects for major aircraft manufacturers, collaborating with regulatory agencies including the UK CAA, FAA, Transport Canada, and others. He has led performance, stability, and control tests, as well as systems and powerplant certifications on various aircraft including the AW-139, Embraer-145, Alenia C-27J, and Diamond DA-42.
Giorgio’s military test experience includes upgrades to the South African Air Force’s Mirage IIIBZ and the development of the SA332 Oryx helicopter. He also worked on stores certification, weapons testing, and navigation systems. Notably, he was contracted by Diamond Aircraft to establish their Flight Test Department in Canada, conducting initial tests for the D-Jet Prototype.
With over 3,000 flying hours on more than 60 aircraft types, Giorgio has spent over 24 years training test pilots and engineers and designing military training programs worldwide. He is an Associate Fellow of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots and a Senior Member of the Society of Flight Test Engineers.
