Dave Lohse is the CEO of ITPS (Canada) Ltd., bringing over 30 years of aviation experience, including more than 20 years in flight test and three years as a dedicated Flight Test Instructor. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of New South Wales and a Master’s in Flight Test Technology from the National Test Pilot School (Class 01B, Distinguished Graduate). Dave is an EASA-certified Flight Test Instructor and serves as Secretary of the Canadian Chapter of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP).
Dave’s military career spanned nearly 15 years with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), where he served as an operational F/A-18 fighter pilot and experimental test pilot at the Aircraft Research and Development Unit (ARDU). His notable projects included work on the ASRAAM and F/A-18 Mid-Life Update programs. He also represented the RAAF during early F-35 Partner Manned Tactical Simulator events in the U.S. and UK.
After his RAAF service, Dave joined Cathay Pacific Airways as a B747 line and company test pilot, later becoming Chief Test Pilot. He led flight testing for the entry into service of 14 B747-8Fs and supported acceptance testing and simulator qualification for both B747 and B777 fleets. He liaised directly with the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department on airworthiness and simulator certification for Cathay’s 200-aircraft fleet.
With over 6,000 flight hours across 50+ aircraft types, Dave combines operational and instructional expertise to lead ITPS as a global aviation training powerhouse.
