Cyril is a Test Pilot Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., bringing extensive experience from his distinguished career in the French Navy. He began his aviation journey in 1998, initially trained as a multi-engine pilot. Cyril’s early career included flying the Embraer 121 Xingu and Breguet N262, conducting transport, support, and maritime patrol missions. In 2003, he transitioned to 21F squadron, where he flew the Breguet Atlantique 2 (ATL2) for operations across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. His role as an operational pilot, captain, and instructor included missions in anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, ISR, and air-to-ground operations.
In 2011, Cyril joined EPNER (Istres AFB) for his flight test training, graduating with a Flight Test Rating (Cat 2). He then worked at the French Navy’s Flight Test and Experimentations Center, where he contributed to the ATL2’s avionics upgrades and new capabilities like bombing and lasering for African operations. Cyril also led test programs on various aircraft, including the Falcon 50 and Cirrus aircraft.
Cyril’s later career saw him fly the Dassault Falcon 50 for SAR missions and, as a test pilot, support acceptance flights and aircraft improvements. As executive officer and later commanding officer of 25F squadron, he oversaw operations across the Pacific region. After retiring in 2020, Cyril joined ITPS. He holds EASA flight licenses as both a test pilot and airline pilot, with over 8,000 flight hours, including 1,400 in flight testing.
