Constantin Stan is a seasoned flight test engineer and test pilot with over twenty years of experience in flight test and certification across military, Part 23, and Part 25 aircraft. A former Romanian Air Force fighter pilot, Constantin flew the MiG-23 and MiG-29 and participated in the development and testing of indigenous air-delivered weapons at the Romanian Armaments Test Center. He also contributed to the MiG-21 Lancer upgrade program.
Stan’s flight test engineering career includes roles as a Sr. Flight Test Engineering Specialist at Mitsubishi Regional Jet, where he participated in certification flight tests for the MRJ with JCAB and the FAA. He also worked at Bombardier Aerospace, contributing to the flight testing of the CSeries 100/300 during certification with Transport Canada and the FAA. At Diamond Aircraft Industries, Stan was involved in the development and flight testing of the D-Jet, DA-42L, and other projects, focusing on Flutter, Performance, Flight Characteristics, Systems testing, and certification.
With over 2,800 flight hours, including more than 900 in experimental flight tests, Stan holds Canadian and FAA ATPL licenses and is a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots.
