Alexandre Melo Fiorenzano Reis is a Flight Test Pilot and Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., with a distinguished career in aviation. Born in the Amazon region of Brazil to a family of Italian descent, he was inspired by his father, a 35,000-hour airline pilot. Alexandre joined the Brazilian military school at age 10, and later became a fighter pilot in the Brazilian Air Force, serving for ten years. Seeking new challenges, he graduated in 2007 as a Fixed-Wing Test Pilot from the Brazilian Air Force Test Pilot School (EFEV).
Alexandre’s extensive flying experience spans over 3,000 hours across more than 40 military and civilian aircraft, including the Mirage 3, Rafale, F-16D, AMX, and KC-390. He was involved in the certification of the EMB-390 and the military version of the EMB-550. As the Chief Test Pilot for the FX-2 program, he played a pivotal role in the acquisition of the Saab JAS39 Gripen for the Brazilian Air Force. Alexandre also contributed to the integration of advanced systems such as air-to-air and anti-radiation missiles, avionics, and tactical cruise missiles.
He served as Lead Instructor for the Fixed Wing Test Pilot Course at EFEV and later as Commanding Officer of the Brazilian Test Pilot School. In his final post before retiring in 2020, he was Head of the Brazilian Military Certification Agency. With over 3,000 flight hours and a strong academic background, Alexandre is dedicated to advancing aviation safety.
