Alan Fonseca Uehara is the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. With over 15 years of experience as a Fixed-wing Flight Test Engineer, he has a strong background in flight testing and flight simulator development, focusing on flight test training. Alan served as an instructor at the Brazilian Air Force Test Pilot School, where he taught flying qualities evaluation of High-Order Flight Control Systems.

Alan has extensive experience in flight test planning, execution, data analysis, and report preparation. His work spans performance, flying/handling qualities, high angle-of-attack, system evaluation, and weapon system integration. He has also designed and implemented simulator flight control systems for advanced flight control evaluation training.

With over 400 flight hours across more than 20 types of aircraft, Alan has been involved in numerous flight test campaigns. From 2010 to 2013, he was seconded to the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as a PhD candidate, conducting scientific research in the field of Cognetics. Alan earned his PhD in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig (TU-BS) in 2013. He also holds a Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA) and is a graduate of the Brazilian Air Force Flight Test Course.
