Congratulations Dennis Schaffler!

May 28, 2023

On Thursday 18th May, Dennis Schaffler became our latest Rotary Wing Lead Flight Test Engineer Graduate and Master of Science recipient. Dennis joined the German Armed Forces in September 2018, completing basic training followed by an Aeronautical Engineering Degree. His Initial flight test experience was gained at WTD61 (test unit for all Bundeswehr aircraft) from September 2021 to May 2022, gathering helicopter experience on Bell UH-1D and Airbus H145M before commencing his studies at ITPS. Upon returning to Germany, Dennis will work as a flight test engineer with WTD61 on multiple versions of the Sikorsky CH-53 versions and Airbus H145M.

Upon graduation, Dennis reflected on his learning experience: ‘During my stay at ITPS, I got to learn from what I think are the best 1% of instructors out there. Not only did I learn something for my job, I have evolved as a person. I am extremely thankful for the level of training, honest feedback, support and positive reinforcement I received. But not only the instructors; virtually everyone that works at ITPS is highly motivated and goes the extra mile (or ten) to provide a pleasant student experience. The ITPS family will always have a very special place in my heart.’

Congratulations, Dennis! We wish you all the very best for your flight test career.
