Thiago Macedo is the Head of Training at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. and a seasoned experimental test pilot with extensive international experience. Commissioned by the Brazilian Air Force Academy in 2006, Thiago began his career as a fighter pilot, flying the A-29 Super Tucano and AMX aircraft in operational roles. In 2016, he graduated from the United States Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS) as a Fixed Wing Experimental Test Pilot.
Since then, Thiago has participated in numerous flight test programs, including weapons integration, high angle of attack (AOA) testing, short takeoff and landing (STOL), systems testing, and operational evaluations. He has amassed over 2,300 flight hours in more than 40 different aircraft types, spanning both fixed and rotary wing platforms, including jets, turboprops, and multi-engine aircraft.
In 2019, Thiago joined the Brazilian Test Pilot School (EFEV) as a Flight Test Instructor. During his tenure, he served as Chief of Flight Training and Safety Officer, where he was responsible for instructing performance, flying qualities, and systems flight testing, with a particular focus on Advanced Flight Control Systems. His contributions were instrumental in the graduation of numerous Category 1 and Category 2 flight test professionals within the Brazilian Air Force.
Now at ITPS, Thiago leads training operations, bringing a wealth of expertise in flight test instruction and operational aviation. His leadership ensures the delivery of high-quality, mission-relevant training to both military and civilian test pilots from around the world.
