Masters Students Conduct Qual Evals on TF-51 Mustang and T-6 Harvard
International Test Pilots School students are given the opportunity to fly and evaluate some of the most iconic aircraft in aviation history. Two of our Masters Course students recently applied the knowledge and skills gained during their training by planning and conducting Qualitative Evaluations (Qual Evals) on the TF-51 Mustang and T-6 Harvard, both unique aircraft that demand precision and adaptability in the air and on the ground. Qual Evals provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate effective test planning, the selection and application of appropriate flight test techniques, and powers of observation in an unfamiliar aircraft with unique performance and handling qualities.
Every stage of training is designed to prepare students for the real-world demands of flight testing. Exposure to a diverse range of aircraft, including legacy platforms like the Mustang and Harvard, arms our graduates with the skills and confidence to safely and effectively plan, conduct and report on future flight test programs.
Our sincere thanks to Timmermans Legends of Flight, and Mackenzie Cline from Stampede Aviation for your ongoing support and collaboration.
