Since joining ITPS in 2020, Steve Bigg has been instrumental in shaping the Advanced Aircraft Simulation Centre into a world-class facility—growing it to 19 simulators and advancing its capabilities to include mixed reality learning, large force exercises, Live Virtual Constructive Training, and our Automated Mission Data System (AMDS).

Under Steve’s leadership, the AASC has become a cornerstone of training and innovation for both the International Test Pilots School (ITPS) and the International Tactical Training Centre (ITTC). Hundreds of students from ITPS, ITTC, and partner universities, such as the University of Waterloo, have benefited from his dedication, whether in flight test or tactical training, or academic research collaborations.

Today, we presented Steve with a plaque and a custom hardcover photo book capturing memorable moments from the simulation centre— small tokens of appreciation for his outstanding contributions.

We thank Steve for his leadership and look forward to the next chapter of growth in simulation training with his continued guidance.
