Spin Testing Jet and Propeller Aircraft

At ITPS Canada, our team of expert flight test instructors train students in the discipline of spin testing on our fleet of L-39, L-29 and Su-29 aircraft. The mix of high-performance jet and propeller aircraft demonstrate a wide range of spin characteristics, exposing students to incipient and fully developed upright and inverted spins, and their associated recovery techniques.

Students gain practical experience analyzing aircraft behaviour and developing appropriate recovery techniques. Building on a strong academic foundation, spin testing develops key attributes of a flight test professional, with an emphasis on a build-up approach, demonstrating adaptability, and applying powers of observation in a highly dynamic and unfamiliar environment.
