ITPS Sponsors The SETP Southwest Symposium

March 30, 2026

The SETP Southwest Symposium in Arlington, TX did not disappoint, bringing together approximately 100 flight test professionals. The International Test Pilots School was proud to be a sponsor of this event once again.

The day featured insightful technical presentations on fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and eVTOL aircraft, along with a luncheon keynote delivered by Bob “Farmer” Hines of NASA. Co-chairs Charles “CR” Davis, Senior Principal Test Pilot at L3Harris, and James Sergeant, Virgin Galactic (Ret’d), led the event, with Session Chairs Kelly Latimer, President of SETP, and Ryan Blake, Chief of Developmental Flight Operations at Lockheed Martin.

It was great to see The Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP), the Society of Flight Test Engineers (SFTE), Vertical Flight Society (VFS), and the AIAA North Texas Section all represented for a strong day of technical exchange and professional engagement.

A special thank you to the AIAA North Texas Section student volunteers for their on-site organisation/support and for sharing their diverse projects with attendees.

After the day, attendees gathered at the Tipsy Oak for drinks and continued the conversation, closing out the symposium with great networking and camaraderie.
