Respected North Bay leader and former Canadore College President brings decades of community and post-secondary leadership experience
London, Ontario [February 27, 2026]: ITPS Canada is proud to announce that George Burton has joined the ITPS Advisory Board, further strengthening the organization’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
A long-time North Bay resident, George is widely recognized for his transformative leadership as President and CEO of Canadore College, where he served three terms. During his tenure, George oversaw Canadore’s strengthened industry-academic partnerships, advanced applied research and innovation, and reinforced the college’s role as a key contributor to workforce and economic development in Northern Ontario.
George’s leadership has consistently reflected a collaborative approach — bringing together education, industry, government, and community partners to achieve meaningful outcomes. His deep ties to North Bay, and longstanding service on regional and provincial boards, underscore his commitment to community growth and partnership.
