ITPS Canada Receives the “Best Airshow Performance – Non-Demo” Award

September 16, 2024

ITPS Canada is proud to receive the “Best Airshow Performance – Non-Demo” for our Hawker Hunter 5th Gen Surrogate Training Aircraft (5STA) at SkyDrive Airshow London this past weekend. Flying Saturday and Sunday, the 5STA thrilled audiences with its passes above the London International Airport (YXU). Thiago Macedo, Deputy Head of Training was Pilot in Command with Alain Lacharité in the right seat for the demonstration flights. On static display were our impressive Grumman HU-16 Albatross, a fan favourite with its upgraded glass cockpit, and one of our Aero Vodochody L-29, which piqued the interest of many aviation enthusiasts.

ITPS would like to thank all the students and staff who took pride in presenting our static displays to their families. Last but certainly not least, we had a great crew of volunteers working behind the scenes to make this happen. Special thanks to Giorgio Clementi, Thiago Macedo, Alain Lacharité, Darrin Ropp, Ryan Gomes, Dave Lohse, Williams Grac, Guy Lynch, Mikko Koli, Sean Thurston, Tom Lovell, Steve Jacobs, Ragnar Wessman and Nicholas Chute.

We look forward to participating in next year’s show!
