Our Grand Old Lady is undergoing her annual International Test Pilots School inspection. Designed in 1947, the Grumman Albatross HU-16 landing gear assembly is quite the marvel of engineering. The gear pivots at four points, allowing the wheels to fully retract, sealing the hull for water landings. What a cool airplane!
