Dave Lohse
Dave Lohse is the CEO of ITPS (Canada) Ltd., bringing over 30 years of aviation experience, including more than 20 years in flight test and three years as a dedicated Flight Test Instructor. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of New South Wales and a Master’s in Flight Test Technology from the National Test Pilot School (Class 01B, Distinguished Graduate). Dave is an EASA-certified Flight Test Instructor and serves as Secretary of the Canadian Chapter of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP).
Dave’s military career spanned nearly 15 years with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), where he served as an operational F/A-18 fighter pilot and experimental test pilot at the Aircraft Research and Development Unit (ARDU). His notable projects included work on the ASRAAM and F/A-18 Mid-Life Update programs. He also represented the RAAF during early F-35 Partner Manned Tactical Simulator events in the U.S. and UK.
After his RAAF service, Dave joined Cathay Pacific Airways as a B747 line and company test pilot, later becoming Chief Test Pilot. He led flight testing for the entry into service of 14 B747-8Fs and supported acceptance testing and simulator qualification for both B747 and B777 fleets. He liaised directly with the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department on airworthiness and simulator certification for Cathay’s 200-aircraft fleet.
With over 6,000 flight hours across 50+ aircraft types, Dave combines operational and instructional expertise to lead ITPS as a global aviation training powerhouse.

David Clementi
David Clementi is the Chief Operating Officer at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., a leading aviation training organization based in London, Ontario. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Western University and an MBA from the Ivey Business School. He joined ITPS in 2009 as Commercial Manager and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming COO due to his strategic leadership and operational expertise.
Under David’s direction, ITPS has experienced significant growth. The organization expanded from just 11 employees to over 100 and scaled its aircraft fleet from one to more than 30. He has been instrumental in developing new facilities and raising the profile of ITPS within Canadian political, military, and industrial sectors. His efforts have helped position the company as a global leader in flight test training.
David’s responsibilities span across contract management, human resources, finance, customer and supplier relations, government relations, and strategic planning. In 2021, he was appointed the Accountable Manager for ITPS’ EASA-approved training organization, overseeing safety and operational compliance within the European regulatory framework.
With a strong background in both business and aviation, David brings a blend of strategic vision and hands-on management that has been pivotal in transforming ITPS into a world-class institution. His leadership continues to drive innovation, growth, and excellence within the aviation training industry.

Giorgio Clementi
Giorgio is the Executive Chairman of ITPS (Canada) Ltd., bringing over 34 years of aviation experience, including 20 years in flight testing. He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Aerospace Engineering from Bristol University and an Airline Transport Pilot License. Giorgio is a graduate of the 1990 NTPS Flight Test Engineer Course.
His flight test experience spans both fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft, with work in civil and military sectors. Giorgio has contributed to Part 23, 25, 27, and 29 certification projects for major aircraft manufacturers, collaborating with regulatory agencies including the UK CAA, FAA, Transport Canada, and others. He has led performance, stability, and control tests, as well as systems and powerplant certifications on various aircraft including the AW-139, Embraer-145, Alenia C-27J, and Diamond DA-42.
Giorgio’s military test experience includes upgrades to the South African Air Force’s Mirage IIIBZ and the development of the SA332 Oryx helicopter. He also worked on stores certification, weapons testing, and navigation systems. Notably, he was contracted by Diamond Aircraft to establish their Flight Test Department in Canada, conducting initial tests for the D-Jet Prototype.
With over 3,000 flying hours on more than 60 aircraft types, Giorgio has spent over 24 years training test pilots and engineers and designing military training programs worldwide. He is an Associate Fellow of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots and a Senior Member of the Society of Flight Test Engineers.

Raphael Languimer
Raphael has over twenty years’ experience as a pilot and extensive experience of civil heavy transport operations and flight testing. He is rated on the B737-200, Convair 580 and Lear 31. He holds flight instructor and aerobatic instructor ratings and a Transport Canada Airline Transport license, having accumulated over 3800 hours of experience on fifty-six types of aircraft. His flight test experience includes certification flight tests and the full spin campaign for a Canadian designed light aircraft. He also participated in the take-off and landing performance flight tests for a Supplemental Type Certificate for a B737 modification for operations off semi prepared and gravel runways. His avionics and systems flight test experience include the certification flight tests for UNS-1 Flight Management System on the B737-200 leading to the issue of a Supplemental Type Certificate. Certification of a new bulkhead installation for a combi configuration on the B737. He is the ITPS check pilot for the AV L-39 and AV-L29 and test pilot for the ITPS Manned Remotely Piloted Aircraft (MRPA) project which includes modifications to the flight control system and installation of remotely operated controls to act as a surrogate for a Medium Altitude Long Endurance UAV. Raphael is a graduate of the International Test Pilot School flight testing short course (2013) and a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots

Gustavo Ulloa
Gustavo is the Deputy Head of UAS at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. He began his career as a Colombian Air Force T-27 and A-29 fighter pilot before transitioning to a MALE UAV pilot in an ISR role. Gustavo flew the Hermes 450 and 900 UAVs, conducting missions against illegal mining, deforestation, drug organizations, and other military operations to support national security in Colombia.
Over the past 9 years, Gustavo has held various positions within military aviation, planning and coordinating aerial operations for both manned and unmanned aircraft. His work has spanned a wide range of military and civil support missions for the Colombian Air Force. His expertise includes overseeing and executing aerial operations in challenging environments, leveraging both manned and unmanned aircraft to provide comprehensive support for military objectives and civil authorities.
As the Deputy Head of UAS at ITPS, Gustavo brings his extensive UAV experience and operational insight to lead training and support the development of unmanned aerial systems capabilities. His unique background in both fighter aviation and UAV operations positions him as a valuable asset in shaping the future of UAS training and operations at ITPS.

Cyril Gennari
Cyril is a Test Pilot Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., bringing extensive experience from his distinguished career in the French Navy. He began his aviation journey in 1998, initially trained as a multi-engine pilot. Cyril’s early career included flying the Embraer 121 Xingu and Breguet N262, conducting transport, support, and maritime patrol missions. In 2003, he transitioned to 21F squadron, where he flew the Breguet Atlantique 2 (ATL2) for operations across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. His role as an operational pilot, captain, and instructor included missions in anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, ISR, and air-to-ground operations.
In 2011, Cyril joined EPNER (Istres AFB) for his flight test training, graduating with a Flight Test Rating (Cat 2). He then worked at the French Navy's Flight Test and Experimentations Center, where he contributed to the ATL2’s avionics upgrades and new capabilities like bombing and lasering for African operations. Cyril also led test programs on various aircraft, including the Falcon 50 and Cirrus aircraft.
Cyril’s later career saw him fly the Dassault Falcon 50 for SAR missions and, as a test pilot, support acceptance flights and aircraft improvements. As executive officer and later commanding officer of 25F squadron, he oversaw operations across the Pacific region. After retiring in 2020, Cyril joined ITPS. He holds EASA flight licenses as both a test pilot and airline pilot, with over 8,000 flight hours, including 1,400 in flight testing.

Inderpreet Rooprai
Inderpreet Rooprai is an aviation professional with over seven years of experience specializing in quality assurance, airworthiness, and aircraft performance. She has played key roles in coordinating internal audits, supporting regulatory inspections, and ensuring compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs). Her work emphasizes identifying process gaps, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to strengthen quality systems and regulatory adherence.
Inderpreet holds a Master of Engineering in Aerospace from Toronto Metropolitan University, bringing a strong academic foundation to her professional practice. René Bartar
René is an Aeronautical Engineer and is ITPS' Compliance Manager and Ground Instructor for Materials Science, Structures, Loads, Aeroelasticity and Vibration.
With over 25 years' experience in the industry, René has worked across all stages of Aircraft Certification in the OEMs from Development to Final Assembly Line for companies including Embraer, Bombardier, Triumph Aerospace and Mecachrome Aerospace and types including Embraer Legacy 600, Embraer 170/190 family, Embraer C-390 Millenium and Bombardier Global 7000. He holds MRB signature for 8 types.René holds a degree of Aeronautical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA) and has specializations in Additive Manufacturing by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Ferrous Technology by the Pohang University of Science and Technology, Ethics by the University of Lausanne and Business by the London Business School.
As Compliance Manager for ITPS, René works closely with the COO and CEO and is responsible for Compliance with requirements for EASA ATO Certification, ISO Certification, Cyber Security Maturity Model Certification, Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification, Export Control and Canada Controlled Goods Program. -

Ryan Gomes
Ryan Gomes is the Vice President of Aircraft Maintenance and Modifications at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., where he leads all aspects of aircraft airworthiness, maintenance operations, and in-house modification programs. With over 15 years of aviation industry experience, Ryan has built a reputation for technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and leadership in aircraft maintenance engineering.
Prior to becoming VP at ITPS, Ryan served as Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control, managing Transport Canada certification requirements and enhancing the company’s Quality Assurance and Safety Management Systems. He previously operated Venerable Aerospace Inc. as a Minister’s Delegate of Maintenance, directly certifying aircraft for Transport Canada and providing continued airworthiness support to private operators.
Ryan’s hands-on expertise includes leading maintenance teams, overseeing prototype installations such as the variable stability system for the Aero Vodochody L-39 platform, and collaborating with engineering and flight test teams throughout complex project life cycles.
He is a gold medalist in Aircraft Maintenance at both the Ontario and Canadian Skills Competitions and represented Canada at the World Skills Competition in London, England, placing in the top three globally.
Dedicated to training the next generation, Ryan has also taught as a Professor of Aviation at Mohawk College and served as a Canadian Expert and judge for World Skills Competitions internationally.

Guy Lynch
Guy is a Flight Test Engineer Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire (UK). With over 20 years of experience and more than 850 hours of flight testing across 31 aircraft types, Guy has built an extensive career in the aviation industry. He began his career with Lockheed Martin as an Avionics Integration and Test Industrial Trainee for the Royal Navy Merlin MkI before moving to AgustaWestland, where he focused on the Merlin (EH101) helicopter’s avionics systems development and testing.
In 2009, Guy transitioned to Pilatus Aircraft in Switzerland, where he initially worked as an Avionics Systems Engineer on the PC-21 military trainer before joining the Flight Test Department. He contributed to development, certification, and production testing of various Pilatus aircraft, including the PC-6, PC-12, PC-21, and PC-24. Notable highlights include leading high-latitude trials in the Canadian Arctic and anti-icing fluid trials in Sweden. Guy also supported numerous joint trials with Honeywell and mission system developments in the UAE.
Before joining ITPS, Guy served as the Lead Flight Test Engineer at Dornier Seawings, conducting initial flight testing for the Seastar CD2 amphibious flying boat prototype.
Guy is passionate about flight testing and seaplanes, holding a seaplane rating from Como, Italy. He also enjoys live music and playing the guitar. At ITPS, he aims to expand his expertise while sharing his valuable industry knowledge with students.

Vaughn Guigui
Vaughn Guigui is a Flight Test Engineer Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. and a CAT 1 Lead Flight Test Engineer graduate. With over two years of experience as an instructor, Vaughn shares his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of aviation professionals. He holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Concordia University and has studied Aeronautical Engineering at the National University of Singapore. Currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Change Management at the University of New South Wales Business School, Vaughn combines his technical proficiency with a strong foundation in leadership and strategic management.
As a military reservist, Vaughn served for 12 years in the Canadian Forces as a Lieutenant with the Cadet Instructor Cadre. His role as a Standards Pilot for the Royal Canadian Air Cadets emphasizes his commitment to the highest standards in flight instruction. In the civilian sector, Vaughn played a key role in CS25 simulator development programs for the NH90 and King Air 350i. He also served as Team Lead and Lead Flight Simulator Test Engineer for Boeing’s 777X and 737MAX programs, along with working on the DHC-6 Twin Otter 400 upgrade in collaboration with Viking DeHavilland.
Vaughn’s diverse experience as an Avionics SME, Systems Test Engineer, and Flight Test Instructor reinforces ITPS’ commitment to preparing Test Pilots and Flight Test Engineers for success in both military and civilian aviation applications.

Martin Bossé
Martin Bossé is a RW Flight Test Engineer Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., having joined in October 2021. A graduate of the French Ecole du Personnel Navigant d’Essais et de Réception (EPNER), Martin has accumulated over 900 flight test hours with the Canadian Forces, Bell Helicopter, Bombardier Aerospace, and Mitsubishi Aircraft.
His career highlights include expanding the Sea King shipboard landing envelope through the development of Canadian Forces test procedures, certifying the Bell Helicopter B429 and Airbus A220, and contributing to the development of the Mitsubishi Regional Jet. Martin has held several management roles in maintenance, engineering, program management, and aircraft customization and delivery. His extensive background in various facets of aviation has made him an expert in flight testing and aircraft development.
Beyond his professional achievements, Martin has a deep passion for aviation that started 45 years ago when he earned his pilot's license. He owns and flies a Grumman AA5A. Outside of flying, Martin enjoys cycling, cross-country skiing, hiking, and cherishes his family life as a husband and a grandfather of four.

John Turner
John Turner is a graduate of the Empire Test Pilots School and holds a degree in Physics from the University of York. During his service with the Royal Air Force, he flew the Phantom F4 and served as a flying instructor before becoming a Flight Commander at No. 4 Flying Training School.
Upon graduation from ETPS, John was posted to the Royal Aerospace Establishment (RAE) at Farnborough, where he commanded the Experimental Flying Squadron. In this role, he flew an extensive range of aircraft including the Andover, BAC 1-11, Buccaneer, Comet, Jaguar, Hawk, Hunter, and Varsity. His work at RAE included both simulator and airborne trials, focusing on the development and evaluation of advanced systems such as helmet-mounted targeting, weapon aiming technologies, and night vision techniques.
John brings to ITPS a deep well of operational and experimental flight test experience spanning multiple platforms and advanced aviation technologies.

Panos Vitsas
Dr. Panagiotis (Panos) Vitsas is a Flight Test Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., and a Director on the Board of Directors of the Society of Flight Test Engineers. He has over 10 years of experience in aerospace engineering research and academia. Dr. Vitsas holds an Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics from the University of Patras, an MSc in Human Factors and Safety Assessment in Aeronautics from Cranfield University, and a PhD in Aeronautics and Computational Fluid Dynamics from the University of Patras. He is a graduate of the ITPS FTE course (Class 2012A).
Dr. Vitsas has participated in European research projects on fixed-wing and rotary-wing aerodynamics and aeroacoustics. He has been an assistant lecturer at the University of Patras for over 5 years, teaching Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Conceptual Aircraft Design. He is the author of several publications in international journals and conferences and has provided consulting services across a wide range of aerospace fields.
A founding member of the Hellenic Flight Simulation Community, Dr. Vitsas has worked extensively in flight simulation, including programming the F-16C variable stability simulator at ITPS. His research interests include advanced flight test data analysis and dynamic flight test techniques.

Geoff Connolly
Geoff Connolly is a highly experienced test pilot with over 10,000 flying hours across more than 60 types of helicopters and airplanes. A former operational helicopter pilot in the Royal Air Force, Geoff became a flying instructor before graduating from the Empire Test Pilots School in 1986. Following several years as a military test pilot, he joined an international helicopter company, where he initially served as an instructor for student commercial pilots. He later returned to test flying and progressed to Head of Flight Test.
Geoff holds UK professional pilot’s licenses for helicopters and light aircraft and is a CAA-authorized Flight Examiner, Type Rating Examiner for Helicopters, and Ground Examiner for Private Pilot’s License (Helicopters). He is accredited by the UK CAA and MoD for test piloting civil and military certification and is recognized by non-UK authorities. As a pre-selected expert advisor to the European Aviation Safety Agency, Geoff contributes to certification, airworthiness, test flying, and flight operations. He is an elected member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and an active participant in several aviation safety committees.

Carl Bertrand
Carl is a Rotary Wing Test Pilot Instructor at ITPS, with a distinguished career that began in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1976. He received his military wings in 1980 and served in various branches, including tours in Valcartier, Cold Lake, Toronto, and Ottawa, retiring in 1995 while in a staff position.
After his military service, Carl joined Bell Helicopter, working as a production test pilot for all commercial Bell products in Canada from 1995 to 1998. He then transitioned to an experimental test pilot role from 1998 to 2020. His international experience includes instructing for the Royal Saudi Air Force in Italy and Saudi Arabia and serving as a Flight Simulator Instructor for Algerian pilots at Flight Safety International in Fort Worth. Carl has also been a consultant on various aerospace projects.

Adam Lowes
Adam Lowes is a Test Pilot Instructor (RW) at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. with 17 years of flight test experience and a distinguished 26-year career in the Royal Canadian Air Force. A 2004 graduate of the United States Test Pilot School, Adam holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Business. Throughout his career, he has flown the Sea King for eight years, including operational deployments worldwide.
Adam played a key role in the testing and conversion of the Sea King to ANVIS-compatible lighting, and over the course of 17 years, he evaluated various systems, including IR countermeasures, door guns (Dillon M134, GAU-21, and C-6 GPMG), EO/IR sensors, and Helmet Mounted Displays. His expertise also extends to extensive developmental flight test work on the CH148 Cyclone helicopter. This included performance assessments, handling qualities evaluations, and work on Fly-By-Wire/Flight Director mission modes such as Sonar Cable Angle Hold and Crew Hover.
During his final four years with the Canadian Forces, Adam led the developmental flight testing of the CH148, which involved testing in icing conditions, avionics, and mission-mode development. He also served as the lead test pilot for Shipboard Helicopter Operating Limits, including five months at sea to establish the day, night, and aided envelopes of the CH148 for the Halifax Class Frigate.
Now retired from the Canadian Forces, Adam continues his passion for aviation through teaching and mentoring future flight test professionals.

Amit Alfia-Shelef
Amit is a former Israeli Air Force (IAF) helicopter pilot with nearly three decades of aviation experience, having accumulated over 5,000 flying hours across 30 aircraft types. After graduating with honours from the IAF’s Flight Academy in 1995, he began his career as a CH-53D pilot. Amit later became a Senior Flight Instructor at the IAF’s Flight Academy and flew over 2,000 hours using Night Vision Goggles (NVGs).
Amit graduated from the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS) in 2010 and became a Rotary Wing Test Pilot. Over the next twelve years at the IAF’s Flight Test Centre (FTC), he became the chief test pilot for the heavy-lift helicopter program, working with the CH-47F/MH-47G and CH-53K helicopters. His work included testing advanced flight control systems, avionics, and conducting high-risk training programs such as autorotation and shipboard landings.
In addition to his extensive flight experience, Amit holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Philosophy from Tel-Aviv University, where he graduated with honours.

Mikko Koli
Mikko is a retired Finnish Air Force F/A-18 pilot, having spent the majority of his career flying the Hornet and BAE Hawk. He retired at the end of 2020 after a distinguished career, during which he contributed to multiple programs involving F/A-18 weapons, avionics, and systems integration, including numerous OFP development efforts. Mikko’s leadership experience includes commanding the Finnish Air Force Detachment during the AGM-158A JASSM cruise missile integration into the F/A-18 Hornet, spending 1.5 years at China Lake, and launching the first Finnish Air Force JASSM missile.
After retiring, Mikko worked for SAAB on a fixed-term contract as a fighter domain specialist for the Finnish fighter evaluation, the “HX campaign,” in 2021/2022. He also contributed to the Finnish BAE Hawk fleet modernization and sustainment programs.
Mikko has accumulated approximately 3000 flight hours, including 1400 hours in the F/A-18 Hornet and 800 hours in the BAE Hawk. He holds an EASA CPL ME IR and FAA PPL. In addition to his career, Mikko participates in a 4-ship SAAB Safir display team during summer holidays. He has been a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP) since 2011.

Alain Lacharite
Alain is a highly experienced pilot with a background in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval. He started his aviation career flying the F-5 operationally with the RCAF and later graduated from the Empire Test Pilot School. He was assigned to AETE, CFB Cold Lake, where he conducted testing on the F-5, F-18, and Bombardier-Challenger. Alain then completed an exchange with the USAF at Edwards AFB, where he worked on various projects including the Improved Performance Engine Certification (GE-129 and PW-229), Positive Pressure Breathing for G Suits Evaluation, and external stores/weapons testing on the F-16.
Transitioning to the Reserves, Alain flew the Kiowa (Bell-206) and worked as a charter pilot on the Fokker-100. He then joined Bombardier as a test pilot, contributing to the CRJ (Certification of Head-up Display to CAT III approaches, Intermediate Takeoff Flap setting, and Upgraded Engine) and the Global Express (high-speed and slow-speed envelope expansion). Alain later flew commercially for a major airline, accumulating extensive experience on the CRJ, Embraer-175/190, Airbus A319/320/321, and Boeing 767. He served as a Training Captain, Type Rated Examiner, and Maintenance Captain.
With 49 years of flying experience, Alain has logged 17,000 hours on 47 aircraft types, including 2,700 hours in flight test operations.

Alexandre Fiorenzano
Alexandre Melo Fiorenzano Reis is a Flight Test Pilot and Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., with a distinguished career in aviation. Born in the Amazon region of Brazil to a family of Italian descent, he was inspired by his father, a 35,000-hour airline pilot. Alexandre joined the Brazilian military school at age 10, and later became a fighter pilot in the Brazilian Air Force, serving for ten years. Seeking new challenges, he graduated in 2007 as a Fixed-Wing Test Pilot from the Brazilian Air Force Test Pilot School (EFEV).
Alexandre’s extensive flying experience spans over 3,000 hours across more than 40 military and civilian aircraft, including the Mirage 3, Rafale, F-16D, AMX, and KC-390. He was involved in the certification of the EMB-390 and the military version of the EMB-550. As the Chief Test Pilot for the FX-2 program, he played a pivotal role in the acquisition of the Saab JAS39 Gripen for the Brazilian Air Force. Alexandre also contributed to the integration of advanced systems such as air-to-air and anti-radiation missiles, avionics, and tactical cruise missiles.
He served as Lead Instructor for the Fixed Wing Test Pilot Course at EFEV and later as Commanding Officer of the Brazilian Test Pilot School. In his final post before retiring in 2020, he was Head of the Brazilian Military Certification Agency. With over 3,000 flight hours and a strong academic background, Alexandre is dedicated to advancing aviation safety.

Warwick Nuttall
Warwick is the Chief Flight Test Engineer Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., bringing over 20 years of flight test experience to the role. His aviation career began at age 7 when he started flying gliders in the UK. Warwick graduated from Cranfield University (RMCS Shrivenham) in Aeromechanical Systems Engineering and began his career in rotary wing flight testing at QinetiQ Boscombe Down, where he worked on the AW101 Merlin Helicopter. His responsibilities included whole-aircraft assessments, hot weather capabilities, and supporting the UK MoD’s urgent operational requirements.
In 2009, Warwick graduated from the Empire Test Pilots' School as a Cat A (Experimental) Fixed Wing Flight Test Engineer. He then became the UK's FTE for the Airbus A400M international Certification and Qualification Organisation, spending 4 years based in France. Warwick later moved to Pilatus Aircraft in Switzerland, where he spent 7 years as Lead FTE for the PC-12 NGX programme, and then became the Technical Lead for aircraft handling and performance flight tests.
Warwick’s diverse experience spans various flight test campaigns, including avionics updates, aircraft mass increases, unpaved runway operations, and aircraft icing. He has worked in both experimental and certification roles, accumulating 600 flight hours across 35 military and civilian aircraft types.

Alan Uehara
Alan Fonseca Uehara is the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. With over 15 years of experience as a Fixed-wing Flight Test Engineer, he has a strong background in flight testing and flight simulator development, focusing on flight test training. Alan served as an instructor at the Brazilian Air Force Test Pilot School, where he taught flying qualities evaluation of High-Order Flight Control Systems.
Alan has extensive experience in flight test planning, execution, data analysis, and report preparation. His work spans performance, flying/handling qualities, high angle-of-attack, system evaluation, and weapon system integration. He has also designed and implemented simulator flight control systems for advanced flight control evaluation training.
With over 400 flight hours across more than 20 types of aircraft, Alan has been involved in numerous flight test campaigns. From 2010 to 2013, he was seconded to the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as a PhD candidate, conducting scientific research in the field of Cognetics. Alan earned his PhD in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig (TU-BS) in 2013. He also holds a Master's in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA) and is a graduate of the Brazilian Air Force Flight Test Course.

Constantin Stan
Constantin Stan is a seasoned flight test engineer and test pilot with over twenty years of experience in flight test and certification across military, Part 23, and Part 25 aircraft. A former Romanian Air Force fighter pilot, Constantin flew the MiG-23 and MiG-29 and participated in the development and testing of indigenous air-delivered weapons at the Romanian Armaments Test Center. He also contributed to the MiG-21 Lancer upgrade program.
Stan's flight test engineering career includes roles as a Sr. Flight Test Engineering Specialist at Mitsubishi Regional Jet, where he participated in certification flight tests for the MRJ with JCAB and the FAA. He also worked at Bombardier Aerospace, contributing to the flight testing of the CSeries 100/300 during certification with Transport Canada and the FAA. At Diamond Aircraft Industries, Stan was involved in the development and flight testing of the D-Jet, DA-42L, and other projects, focusing on Flutter, Performance, Flight Characteristics, Systems testing, and certification.
With over 2,800 flight hours, including more than 900 in experimental flight tests, Stan holds Canadian and FAA ATPL licenses and is a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots.

Tyler Chute
Tyler Chute is the Deputy Head of the Advanced Aircraft Simulation Centre (AASC) at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., where he supports a wide range of military and civilian flight training and testing initiatives. His career is defined by a hands-on approach to technical problem-solving, instructional support, and a deep commitment to aviation excellence.
Tyler’s aviation journey began in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, where he was involved until the age of 17. This early exposure laid the groundwork for his continued involvement in flight training and simulation.
In his current role, Tyler is responsible for scenario development, simulator instruction, partner coordination, and the day-to-day operations of multiple advanced flight simulators.With over 8,000 hours in high-fidelity military flight simulation—including DCS, MCS, X-Plane, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and P3D—he brings both practical expertise and instructional insight to the training environment. Tyler also has hands-on experience in more than seven types of aircraft, further enriching his instructional and technical background.
Previously, as Lead Flight Simulator Technician at ITPS/ITTC, Tyler maintained, upgraded, and repaired a broad range of simulation platforms, ensuring training systems remained at peak performance.
Known for his technical capability, mentorship, and forward-thinking mindset, Tyler plays a key role in advancing the training and readiness of future test pilots and flight test engineers. -

Steve Bigg
Steve Bigg led the creation of the Advanced Aircraft Simulation Centre (AASC) at the International Test Pilots School (ITPS), now a core part of both flight test and tactical training programs. The AASC houses over seventeen simulators, including helicopters, heavy transports, and three fighter types. Steve was instrumental in developing the large force exercise simulation capability, supporting fighter weapons instructor and mission commander training at the International Tactical Training Centre (ITTC).
Before joining ITPS, Steve founded and operated his own Air Combat Flight Simulation Centre, gaining valuable experience in using simulation to enhance air combat training. He holds a Diploma in Computer Electronics Engineering Technology and earned his pilot’s license at 17.

Henry Language
Henry Language is an instructor in Telemetry and UAS at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. With over 30 years of flight test experience, Henry graduated from the National Test Pilot School's Flight Test Engineer (FTE) course in 1988. He began his career at Atlas Aircraft Corporation, initially qualifying as an aircraft maintenance engineer and earning a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Henry joined the Flight Test Department at Atlas in 1986, where he became a Flight Test Engineer in 1988.
He has accumulated more than 1,400 hours in 29 aircraft types, including both fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms such as the Impala, Mirage III, Cheetah, Alouette III, Puma, and the Rooivalk attack helicopter. His flight test experience spans performance, stability and control, avionics, weapons, structural testing, and certification.
In 2019, Henry joined ITPS as a full-time FTE instructor. He has since contributed to fixed and rotary-wing courses, three UAS courses, internal ITPS projects like Manned Remotely Piloted Aircraft (MRPA) and Adaptive Handling Qualities Aircraft (AHQA), as well as flight test campaigns for external clients. He is a member of the Society of Flight Test Engineers and holds multiple pilot licenses, including a Multi-engine/IFR commercial fixed-wing license and a Small Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (sRPAS) certificate.

Michael Mulquiney
Michael Mulquiney is the Head of UAS Training at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. He joined the Royal Australian Navy in 2008 with a background in civil aviation as a commercial pilot and process operator in heavy industry. Michael earned a Master’s in Aviation Management in 2014, specializing in Advanced Human Factors, and is a seasoned safety incident investigator and facilitator.
In 2015, he qualified as a maritime helicopter pilot (Seahawk - Bravo), conducting operational deployments across North East Asia and the Middle East. By 2018, Michael transitioned to the Navy’s RPAS program, serving as the senior Mission Commander and facilitating maritime RPAS flight test programs. In 2021, he became the first ADF RPAS Test - Remote Pilot after completing training at ITPS and was posted to the Navy Flight Trials Unit to lead the RPAS trials program.
Michael ceased full-time ADF service in 2023, transitioning to contractor status as the Navy Test and Evaluation lead for prototype maritime uncrewed systems. He worked extensively with air, surface, and subsurface platforms. Michael continues active Reserve duty with the Navy as a specialist RPAS Flight Test practitioner. He was recently awarded the Head of Navy Capability - Silver Commendation for his pioneering work in highly automated logistics transfer with RPAS for Shore to Ship, Ship to Shore, and Ship to Ship resupply.

Williams Grac
Williams is the Chief Flight Test Instructor - Fixed Wing at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. and previously served as the Director of the French test pilot school, L'école du personnel navigant d'essais et de réception (EPNER). He began his career in the French Air Force, where he held operational roles as a heavy transport pilot on the C-160, accumulating over 5,000 flight hours across more than 80 aircraft types.
A graduate of the USAF Test Pilot School, Williams has extensive flight test experience, including leading the A-400M expert team into service and serving as Chief Test Pilot at the French Flight Test Center in Istres. His expertise spans a wide range of test piloting and instructional roles. He holds EASA Flight Test Rating CAT-1 and Flight Test Instructor FTI (A rating).
Williams is also a graduate of the French War College (Collège Interarmées de Défense) and holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MSc in Flight Test Engineering from Air University (USA), an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering from Aix Marseille University, and an engineering degree from the Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (ISAE Supaéro), as well as a French Air Force Academy Engineering degree.
His diverse experience and leadership in flight testing and training make him a key figure in advancing ITPS' reputation as a global leader in aviation training.

Mark Chivers
Mark joined ITPS (Canada) Ltd. after a distinguished 31-year career as a pilot in the British Army. He began flying the Gazelle helicopter in observation and reconnaissance roles, later transitioning to the Lynx in the anti-tank role. A 2003 graduate of the Empire Test Pilots’ School (ETPS), Mark played a key role in introducing the Apache AH-64D into British Army service. His test work included natural icing trials, ship operating limits, and high-altitude handling qualities testing in support of Afghanistan operations.
As Project Test Pilot for the Apache, Mark led critical evaluations before assuming command of the Army’s Operational Evaluation Squadron, delivering rapid prototype testing across all Army aircraft. From 2009 to 2012, he returned to ETPS as the Army’s Test Pilot Instructor and Principal Tutor.
Mark then completed a five-year exchange tour with the U.S. Army and Boeing in Alabama, where he conducted performance, flying qualities, and systems testing on the Apache AH-64E. As Test Director and Pilot, he oversaw the Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight and Fire Control Radar testing for the AH-64E Version 6.
Upon returning to the UK, Mark became Program Manager for the UK’s Apache AH-64E V6 acquisition, leading the team responsible for bringing the aircraft into service. He holds both EASA and FAA flight licenses and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cranfield University.

Stephen Crockatt (Croc)
Stephen Crockatt (Croc) is a former Royal Navy pilot with extensive operational and test flying experience. Prior to becoming a TP, he flew the Sea King and Lynx helicopters and qualified as an A2 Helicopter Instructor with the UK’s Central Flying School. After graduating from the Empire Test Pilots’ School (ETPS) in 2002, he served as project test pilot for the Merlin, Lynx, and Sea King programs, focusing on envelope expansion, ship integration, icing clearances, and R&D initiatives.
Croc was appointed to be the UK Instructor at the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School in 2005 and was named NAVAIR’s Test Pilot Instructor of the Year in 2007. Upon returning to the UK, he completed an MBA at Cranfield School of Management and held several staff officer roles. In 2013, he resumed test flying as Officer Commanding the Air Warfare Centre’s Standards and Evaluation Unit, overseeing UK test pilot training and qualification standards. He later served as Commanding Officer of ETPS and earned an MSc in Safety and Accident Investigation (Air Transport) from Cranfield University.
His final Royal Navy was as part of the FW First of Class Flight Trial aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth. In 2021, Croc joined ITPS (Canada) Ltd. as a Test Pilot Instructor and quickly became the Head of Training (HoT). In 2025 he became the Deputy HoT to allow him to spend more time with family in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and an Associate Fellow of SETP.

Thiago Fontes Macêdo
Thiago Macedo is the Head of Training at ITPS (Canada) Ltd. and a seasoned experimental test pilot with extensive international experience. Commissioned by the Brazilian Air Force Academy in 2006, Thiago began his career as a fighter pilot, flying the A-29 Super Tucano and AMX aircraft in operational roles. In 2016, he graduated from the United States Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS) as a Fixed Wing Experimental Test Pilot.
Since then, Thiago has participated in numerous flight test programs, including weapons integration, high angle of attack (AOA) testing, short takeoff and landing (STOL), systems testing, and operational evaluations. He has amassed over 2,300 flight hours in more than 40 different aircraft types, spanning both fixed and rotary wing platforms, including jets, turboprops, and multi-engine aircraft.
In 2019, Thiago joined the Brazilian Test Pilot School (EFEV) as a Flight Test Instructor. During his tenure, he served as Chief of Flight Training and Safety Officer, where he was responsible for instructing performance, flying qualities, and systems flight testing, with a particular focus on Advanced Flight Control Systems. His contributions were instrumental in the graduation of numerous Category 1 and Category 2 flight test professionals within the Brazilian Air Force.
Now at ITPS, Thiago leads training operations, bringing a wealth of expertise in flight test instruction and operational aviation. His leadership ensures the delivery of high-quality, mission-relevant training to both military and civilian test pilots from around the world.

David 'Dos' Ostler
David is an Australian test pilot with over 20 years of flight test experience in both military and civil aviation. A 2001 graduate of the Empire Test Pilots’ School (ETPS), he began his career as a fixed-wing pilot in the Australian Army, flying the Pilatus Porter and Nomad, before transferring to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), where he served as an operational and test pilot for 14 years. His RAN experience includes flying the Seahawk, Sea King, AS350, and Sea Sprite, with responsibilities spanning First of Class Flight Trials, mission system evaluations, and performance and handling qualities testing. He served as project test pilot for the Sea Sprite acquisition program and as the Navy’s Chief of Flight Test prior to retiring in 2008.
In the civil sector, David worked as a lecturer, researcher, and flight instructor before returning to flight testing. His civil roles have included Chief Test Pilot for the GA10 certification at GippsAero, test pilot and flight dynamics engineer for the AMSL Aero eVTOL program, and human factors test lead for RAAF air-to-air refuelling interface redesign. He has also delivered short courses in flight testing for New Zealand's aerospace industry, including airborne flight labs attended by CAA NZ and RNZAF personnel.
David holds test and analyst delegations with both the Australian and New Zealand Civil Aviation Authorities. He earned a Master of Science in Flight Dynamics from Cranfield University and a PhD in Mathematics from Swinburne University.
