Master of Science Courses
The ITPS Canada Master of Science in Flight Test Engineering (MS FTE) and Flight Test (MS FT) post-secondary degrees are approved by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities of Ontario. MS FTE is aimed at students holding an engineering undergraduate degree, and MS FT is aimed at students holding a science, technology or mathematics undergraduate degree. With over 35 years of expertise in flight testing across civil and military programs, ITPS ensures students gain the 53 credits needed for graduation while meeting industry-specific training goals. An expert international team teaches the curriculum and reflects real-world lessons from worldwide aircraft and helicopter testing. ITPS also provides strong family support to help students settle into the welcoming Canadian city of London, Ontario.
Master of Science
in Flight Test Engineering
The Master of Science in Flight Test Engineering (MS FTE) is a post-secondary degree approved by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities in Ontario. ITPS is an accredited institution with a 35-year history in flight test academics. The program has a duration of 48 weeks and consists of mandatory and elective courses towards the 53 academic credits required for graduation.
The traditional 1-year graduate (military) Test Pilot / Flight Test Engineer course offered by ITPS fulfills all the requirements of the Master of Science in Flight Test Engineering programme, therefore students eligible for admission will be offered the MS FTE upon successful graduation.
This institution has been granted a consent by the Minister of Colleges and Universities to offer this program for a five-year term starting September 24, 2021. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs (e.g., acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies or other educational institutions.)

Admission Criteria
Minimum academic requirements for admission are:
- An earned 4-Year (or equivalent) accredited BSc in Engineering recognised by the Washington Accord; and,
- A minimum average grade of B in the final year of the BSc (A master’s degree from an accredited institution may also satisfy this requirement).
English language proficiency must be demonstrated by:
- Graduation in a BSc from a University where the primary language of instruction is English; OR,
- Evidence of English Language Proficiency as demonstrated by an acceptable Internationally recognized English Language Test Score equivalent to an IELTS 6.5 (Academic) with no band below 6.0.
Medical Fitness:
- A minimum of a TC Class 3, EASA Class 2, or equivalent.

Admission Criteria
The minimum academic requirements for admission are:
- An earned 4-Year (or equivalent) BSc in Science, Technology, or Mathematics from a recognized University
- A minimum average grade of B in the final year of the BSc (A master’s degree from an accredited institution may also satisfy this requirement.)
- In exceptional cases, prospective students with a 4-Year Bachelor’s degree in other fields will be examined by the Admissions Committee for conditional admission.
English language proficiency must be demonstrated by:
- Graduation in a BSc from a University where the primary language of instruction is English; OR,
- Evidence of English Language Proficiency as demonstrated by an acceptable Internationally recognized English Language Test Score equivalent to an IELTS 6.5 (Academic) with no band below 6.0.
