This course provides a solid grounding in UAS technology, flight operations and the principles and techniques of UAS flight test. The course focuses on providing training in the discipline of UAS flight testing, management and reporting, and gives examples of UAV flight tests and flight test management, thorough preparation in UAV test techniques and test aspects for the associated sensors and systems.

This course includes a personal Welcome and Overview session (1/2 hour) and a Q&A and Debrief session (1 hour) with an instructor on the academic team.

The Belgian Defense has been training test pilots at ITPS on a regular basis since 2004. The quality of training is essential to the Belgian Defense as our test pilots are expected to undertake the whole spectrum of flight testing across the Defense aircraft and helicopter fleet.
