Kevin Willaert is the Head of Flightline Operations at ITPS (Canada) Ltd., bringing over two decades of military operational experience and technical expertise to the role. A retired Petty Officer First Class of the Canadian Armed Forces, Kevin served 23 years across both Army and Navy branches, excelling in leadership, technical maintenance, and safety operations.
At ITPS, Kevin oversees the preparation, launch, and recovery of a diverse fleet, including L-39/29 jet trainers, propeller aircraft, and helicopters. He develops and delivers comprehensive flightline training programs, ensuring that safety, efficiency, and operational excellence remain paramount in supporting international flight test training.

Prior to joining ITPS, Kevin held senior roles including Chief Engineer at HMCS Prevost and Training Authority System Manager at CFB Borden. His background also includes frontline experience as a Level Three Gas Free Inspector and Hull Shop Supervisor aboard major Canadian warships, where he was responsible for the maintenance of critical ship systems and enforcing occupational safety standards.
Kevin is a qualified Hull Technician (Level 6A) and Infantryman, with additional certifications in safety management, hazardous materials handling, and range safety operations. He is a recipient of several accolades, including the Commander’s Individual Achievement Award and multiple operational medals for deployments to Afghanistan, Haiti, and the Persian Gulf.
